Fighting Forward 2013: A Labor and Working Class Summit

June 12-15, Madison College Downtown Campus, Madison, WI

A Working Class Studies Association national conference, hosted by the Labor and Working Class Studies Project

The Fighting Forward conference brings together labor leaders, researchers, and community activists from all over the country every year. The conference is a fantastic opportunity to discuss the many struggles working class and labor activists are involved in currently, learn the lessons of the history of our movements, and figure out a way forward.

Best of all: fellow TAA members will be on several panels. We especially invite TAA members to participate in the TAA and MGAA panel:

“Schooling the Movement: The Role of Graduate Student Unionists”

Friday, 2:30-3:45pm, room 406

And check out the other panels featuring TAA members:

  • “Possibilities and Limitations of the Electoral Process”
  • “Fighting Back and Fighting Forward: ALEC Meets ALICE (“Understanding and Using ALICE”)
  • “Renewed Labor-Community Engagement”
  • “The Wisconsin Struggle — How to Move Forward, A Conversation”
  • “The Aftermath and Lessons of the Wisconsin Uprising”
  • “Harmonic Dissidents: Sing Alongs, Messaging, Mobilizing to Advance the Wisconsin Uprising
