TAA Releases Campaign Platform

TAA Releases Campaign Platform

“We, the members of the TAA, call on university administrators to enact the changes enumerated below and declare our readiness to act in defense of our learning and working communities.”

The TAA has released its campaign platform, putting forth a vision for a public university that the students and workers of the University of Wisconsin-Madison deserve. We believe in the core values of public education, anti-discrimination, economic justice, and workplace democracy, and our demands represent concrete steps toward a UW-Madison that embodies those values. The administration has repeatedly shown their resistance to these necessary changes, and we know that we will only win the university we deserve through collective, direct action.

The TAA platform was developed over many months by a team of dedicated activists and organizers. While writing the platform, members consulted with grad workers across campus, campus organizations, and community members. The final document was ratified by the TAA membership at the October 10th General Membership Meeting.

You can read the platform above or on our platform page, which will be updated regularly with more information about the issues. Follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to stay informed about the TAA’s fight for the university that students and workers deserve.
