E-Board to Chancellor: "Respect shared governance."

The E-board composed a letter to Chancellor Martin in which we express our disappointment with her use of her position to advocate for Governor Walker’s Budget Bill proposals related to UW-Madison and UW System.

We call for her to “refrain from sending campus-wide communications advocating for a position on Governor Walker’s Budget Bill before shared governance bodies have come to decisions,” to “share all information that [she has] related to these and alternate proposals,” and to “serve as a facilitator of meaningful shared governance by providing appropriate venues for the exchange of ideas from diverse perspectives.”
