Stewards & Organizers Portal

TAA is an organizing union — while AFT-Wisconsin staff provide essential knowledge, support, and experience, our union is what we as graduate workers do.

All members gather monthly at General Membership Meetings (GMMs), but stewards are the essential day-to-day connection between members and the broader union. Stewards meet twice monthly, and work between meetings to make sure that the TAA’s work reflects members’ needs and that members know what’s happening in the broader union.

  • 📋 Walkthrough Guide/FAQs: A guide for stewards on walkthroughs, including for asking the questions on the organizing survey. For feedback, contact your StewCo chairs at stewco.chair@taa-madison.org
