TAA Political Action — All Hands on Deck!

This is it — the last week or so before a critical election on November 2nd.  We need all hands on deck to be a part of our organizing and mobilizing to elect the labor-endorsed candidates.

If you don’t want to see UW funding get cut dramatically, you need to be a part of our political program.  If you want to see action taken on segregated fees, you need to be involved in the program.  If you want to protect your healthcare and tuition remission, you need to be involved.  Quite simply, there’s more at stake on November 2nd than who gets elected; it’s about our priorities for the TAA, grad student workers and the UW community.

Taking action with the TAA political program requires no previous experience nor background knowledge — we make sure you have all the education and training you need to have an impact.

To get involved over the last week and a half, fill out this quick online form.

To be a part of our Get Out the Vote program on the Saturday, Sunday and Monday before the elections and on Election Day, sign up here.

Here’s what we’re asking you: Will you sign up for at least one action in the final two weeks and at least one shift of Get Out the Vote work?

We need you now, and there’s no more we can do after November 2nd.  So get involved with the TAA political program now!  With any questions, contact the chair of our Political Education Committee, Peter Rickman, at rickman.peter@gmail.com.
