Join us April 26: Work-in for a fair mandatory fee policy

Bring your work to Bascom to show admin who really runs the University! Segregated fees and international student fees are a major hardship for graduate workers. Admin’s “fees first, grads second” policy needs to go.

Join us Thursday to demand a change! The TAA is organizing a “work-in” demonstration in Bascom Hall to showcase the often invisible or unrecognized labor graduate workers do to support the university. We all have papers to grade, numbers to crunch, or students to teach—let’s do it together and show our power!

Sign up for a shift here, and if you’re on Facebook please RSVP and share our event page. Over a hundred of your coworkers and classmates showed up in March for our last demonstration, and if you can commit to bringing at least one coworker with you, we can easily outdo ourselves!

Want to learn more? Follow our Facebook and Twitter accounts as we share the stories of grad workers whose lives have been affected by mandatory fees. More background on our mandatory fees campaign is available on our campaigns page, where you can see some statistics, learn some history, and read our plan for a better policy. See you Thursday!
